Integrate Teacher Expertise to Bridge the Gap Between Education System and Practical World.
(1) In accordance with the needs of the development vision, the Department combines accounting and information technology-related courses with practice, and employs industry professionals to open practical courses and provide practical seminars to establish a reciprocal mechanism for teacher-student exchanges.
(2) We combine curriculum design and practice, and introduces industry professionals as teachers for Collaborative teaching. The Department invites accounting practitioners and senior managers in the industry to conduct practical lectures or practical courses, and arranges students to go to the company for summer internships and semester internships, with a view to bridge the gap between the education system and the practical world and help students make a smooth transition into the workplace.
(3) We organize lectures on special topics concerning the practical world from time to time, and invite experts from the industry and academia to give special lectures.
Put emphasis on the importance of obtaining professional licenses related to accounting and information technology to enhance competitiveness in the workplace.
In order to meet the practical needs of the accounting profession in the workplace, the Department places special emphasis on the importance of obtaining accounting-related professional licenses. We hope that through the "certification system" that comprehensively test a student’s abilities in theory, practice and expertise, students will be guided to pursue specific learning objectives to strengthen competitiveness in the future workplace. For example, in terms of the accounting professional ability certification, we encourage students to take exams to become a bookkeeper, a senior accounting professional and/or a certified public accountant, and we will reward the students with excellent performance in the exams to shape a good atmosphere for studying to pass the certification exams and improve their competitiveness in the future workplace. In addition to the professional compulsory courses related to accounting and information technology, we also encourage students to obtain international certificates/licenses, such as Microsoft Professional Program in Data Science Certificate (MPP Data Science), to become a Data Analyst for Excel.
